Driving Lesson Price List
We keep our prices competitive and fair. While external factors such as fuel, insurance, and inflation may affect pricing in the future, our current rates are:
All Lessons Are Delivered in 2‑Hour Sessions
Complete Beginner
£35 per hour — £70 per lesson
Full Licence Holder Refresher
£40 per hour — £80 per lesson
Refresher Training (Provisional Licence)
£35 per hour — £70 per lesson
Motorway Training
£40 per hour
Use of Car for Practical Driving Test
Use of the Driving Safe vehicle on test day is only available to existing pupils who have completed a minimum of 12 hours of training with us.
Car Hire for Practical Test
£90 — includes 1 hour before the test to cover Show Me, Tell Me questions and warm‑up driving.
Driving Safe School of Motoring is not a car‑hire company.
We will not provide the vehicle for test purposes unless you have taken regular lessons with us and have been assessed as test‑ready.

Intensive Courses
Intensive driving courses are not currently available. However, depending on availability, it may be possible to take more than one lesson per week to speed up your progress while maintaining the same total number of on‑road hours.
DVSA Official Guidance
Driving Safe School of Motoring follows the standards set by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA). The DVSA is responsible for improving road safety, setting the rules for learning to drive, and ensuring that all new drivers meet the required standard to drive safely and independently.
Taking regular, structured lessons with a qualified instructor gives you the strongest chance of developing safe driving habits and passing your test with confidence.
