Under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, you have the right to request the deletion of your personal data, also known as the right to be forgotten. Driving Safe School of Motoring fully supports this right and provides a clear process for requesting data deletion.

How to Request Data Deletion

• drivingsafeschoolofmotoring@gmail.com

Please include:

• Your full name

• Email address

• Phone number (optional)

• Reason for the request (optional)

What Happens Next?

Once your request is received:

• Acknowledgement – You will receive confirmation that your request has been received.

• Verification – We may ask for additional information to confirm your identity.

• Processing – Your data will be reviewed and deleted where legally appropriate.

• Confirmation – You will be notified once the process is complete.

Important Considerations

Some data cannot be deleted immediately due to legal or regulatory requirements. Examples include:

• Tax and financial records that must be retained for statutory periods

• Safety‑related information, such as dash‑cam footage linked to an incident

• Insurance or DVSA‑related obligations

Only the minimum legally required data will be retained.

Third‑Party Notification

If your data has been shared with third parties (e.g., email providers, cloud storage, insurance), we will take reasonable steps to inform them of your erasure request so they can delete your data where applicable.

Service Impact

Deleting your data may affect our ability to provide future services. For example, we may not retain your training history or previous communications.
